This page explains what MarketHoundLab collects, why it is collected, where it goes, and how to ask for removal.

What we collect

  • Waitlist email. When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you submit, a site source tag (markethoundlab-waitlist), and a capture timestamp (UTC).
  • Form security. The waitlist form uses a short-lived CSRF token tied to a session cookie so submissions come from this site.
  • Analytics preference. If you use the cookie banner, we store a consent cookie recording accept or decline. No email is stored in that cookie.

Why we collect it

Waitlist email is used only to send occasional MarketHoundLab updates (product and site notes). We do not use it for unrelated marketing lists. Analytics, when enabled and consented, helps us understand aggregate site traffic.

Where it goes (processors)

  • Waitlist storage: Emails are written to Google Sheets through Google’s Sheets API using a Google Cloud service account for this site. Google hosts that spreadsheet.
  • Fallback: If Sheets is temporarily unavailable, the same fields may be appended to a server-side fallback file outside the public web root until delivery succeeds. That file is not published.
  • Analytics: When analytics is enabled on this host and you accept cookies, we load Google Tag Manager (and tags configured in that container, typically Google Analytics). If analytics is off or you decline, those tags are not loaded for your visit.

Sharing

We do not sell waitlist emails. We do not share them with third parties for their own marketing. Processors above receive data only to operate storage or consented analytics.

Retention

We do not publish an automatic deletion schedule for waitlist rows. We keep them so we can send the updates you asked for, until you request removal or we retire the list. Consent cookies follow ordinary browser cookie lifetime for that name.

Removal and contact

Email hello@markethoundlab.com from the address you want removed (or clearly name it). We will delete matching waitlist rows we control. For analytics cookies, use the site banner choice or clear site cookies in your browser.
