Notebook, not advice.
MarketHoundLab is a public market notebook. Charts, quotes, and boards are for context and learning — not recommendations.
What this site is
- Observed public data, shown with sources and timestamps when available.
- Bounded interpretation: what the series is, not what you should buy or sell.
- A place to keep macro glances readable without guru certainty.
What this site is not
- Not investment, trading, tax, or legal advice.
- Not a signal service, portfolio model, or performance track record.
- Not a broker, adviser, or personalized recommendation engine.
Data limits
Quotes and official series can lag, gap, or fail. Cached or fixture views may appear when a live feed is unavailable. Always treat on-page numbers as a glance, and verify against the cited source before acting on anything outside this site.
Reading the boards
- MMbbl = million barrels — the stockpile unit used on the energy board.
- "vs prior week" = change from the previous weekly report.
- Seasonal context = where this week's number ranks against the same calendar week (±1) over the past 10 years. The indicator next to it shows that level — battery for stocks, ring for utilization — and the color marks the direction the board watches: low stocks and low utilization are the tight-supply signals.
Energy boards use U.S. EIA data. Some other boards use interim quote sources (e.g., Yahoo Finance) until official APIs land — each board's source line names what it uses.
